Worried about variants?

Livio Gigliuto, Vice President at Istituto Piepoli, guest of Giorgia Rombolà at Studio24 broadcast on RaiNews24, for a snapshot of Italy and public opinion on politics and current events.

A survey by Istituto Piepoli retraces what interests public opinion most. This include the fear of variants that worry 3 out of 4 Italians, although down by 4% from the previous week. Speaking about it to the viewers of Giorgia Rombolà, Journalist at RaiNews24, is Livio Gigliuto, Vice President at Istituto Piepoli. In the analysis, another interesting fact – continues Gigliuto – is that the variants do not impact on our confidence in vaccination. In fact, 86% of the sample said they were inclined to get vaccinated, with an increase of 1% always compared to the previous week.

53% of Italians also say they are very or fairly satisfied with the Draghi government’s work in managing the Coronovirus emergency and, as regards the curfew, they find it prudent. While 41% of respondents say it should be postponed by a few hours, 31% say it could stay from 10pm to 5am.

About the new openings, in the first position, there is the desire to return to travel (59%); in the second place, the desire to go to a restaurant (43%) and to return to see friends again (27%).
